As a start-up in the field of health, we needed the right environment for our development from the outset, so we chose the BLSI offices. This meant we were there almost at the start (2012) and have witnessed its development with the arrival of many other start-ups related to a greater or lesser extent to the medical field. Joining a body such as BLSI has been very profitable in several respects because, in addition to the professional support from Gianluigi Arialdi and his entire team, it has enabled us to meet other companies and individuals who have helped us to realign ourselves through the exchange of ideas. It is essential when you are a young start-up (in any field) not to remain locked away but to network and meet many people from various backgrounds. This is what BLSI does best, promoting such discussions and meetings.

BLSI is the perfect structure for a young start-up launching onto a sector such as health with its vast issues. It immediately provides full access to the incubator's network, offering growth alongside successful manufacturers, specialists in regulatory issues and even intellectual property experts. The regular and considerate support of the BLSI team has greatly facilitated the creation of links between my young company and regional bodies such as Impulse and Innoviris, the financial assistance of which leads to a smoother validation of ambitious projects.

The strategic positioning of BLSI on the Saint-Luc campus is another significant benefit for a company in the health sector. It is easier to set up clinical trials and the relationship of trust with researchers and universities is immediate.

BLSI is the only infrastructure that allows you to have your own laboratory (independently of universities/R&D centres) in Brussels and at an affordable price! The flexibility to extend or reduce the number of office/laboratory modules is ideally suited to the vagaries of start-ups and, what's more, the managerial team at BLSI is truly on hand to listen to your needs!

Firstly, BLSI quickly became apparent to us as the rational choice due to the price, the services and the geographic location. BLSI is one of those rare incubators to offer light-filled laboratories with spacious work surfaces for a competitive price. Next, we were delighted to discover a competent team, on whom Domobios has regularly relied for issues as varied as searching for the right contacts with bankers, financiers and companies, for finding business support, for organising an event or for an external opinion on Domobios’ strategy. Last, but by no means least, the final asset is the welcoming, friendly atmosphere generated by a highly sympathetic team. BLSI, an incubator that lifts your spirits from early morning.

BLSI provides much more than an office space; being in an environment surrounded by life science entrepreneurs is so easy. The community is strong and ready to help, the office is central and easily accessible and there is parking available. The personnel are super nice and always resolve whatever difficulty there is.

On the creation of our non-profit organisation, the question of its location was discussed at length. The solution proposed by BLSI attracted us. For a very reasonable cost, we have access to a range of services available to the whole community (internet, telephone, printer, reception, etc.). The physical environment is very pleasant and the presence of many companies is the opportunity to establish potentially useful relationships.

BLSI is more than an incubator for life sciences in Brussels. It is a genuine ecosystem for start-ups that facilitates synergies and growth. Being part of this ecosystem is important for us and has helped Innovation Sprint to make real progress.

BLSI has comfortable working infrastructures and has been able to respond to our need for growth. The furniture and meeting rooms are very functional and the management staff are always available.
